Frequently asked questions

How does the process of buying property in Türkiye work for foreigners?

In outline: choosing the property, preliminary agreement, preparing the required documents, valuation and the title deed transaction. The requirements of each step may vary with your nationality and the nature of the property; we recommend that you go through the process together with a legal advisor.

Can I sell my property in Türkiye while I'm abroad?

In practice, there are processes that are carried out through a power of attorney. How the power of attorney is drawn up depends on the country you are in; it should be determined in consultation with a notary and a legal advisor.

What documents are required?

Identification and passport information, tax ID number, translation and apostille services if required, and additional documents depending on the nature of the transaction. We will provide you with a personalized list during our meeting.

How does the payment and foreign exchange process work?

Banking and foreign exchange rules are governed by official regulations and may change. You should work with your bank and your financial advisor on this; we do not give advice on it.

What is the required amount for citizenship?

We don't quote figures on this. Because conditions and amounts can change, we refer you only to the current official source and a qualified legal advisor.
